This mobile home park is 30 minutes away from the city of Lisbon, with excellent beaches, supermarkets and shops nearby. There is a train station 3km away in Pinhal Novo with great links to Lisbon, trains run from 6am until 9.10am every 40 minutes, then every hour after until 00.30am. If you visit Lisbon by train you will cross the estuary over the spectacular ponte 25 de Abril Bridge where you can see the Monumento a Cristo Rei. A taxi from Lisbon airport to the campsite varies but should cost about 25€.

The mobile home site is situated 12km from the longest bridge in Europe, the Vasco da Gama Bridge (17.2km/10.6miles long), on the south exit to Setubal near the Pinhal Novo village. The mobile home site is open all year round and is in a perfect location for access to the city of Lisbon and also Setubal, Palmela and Pinhal Novo.

Setubal is a port, it was originally a fishing village alongside the River Sado and Atlantic Ocean, there is a large area for shopping here or you could buy fish from the local fishermen. There are also numerous restaurants for everyone's taste. There is a fantastic castle that overlooks Sesimbra, it can be seen towering over the traditional fishing village, there are lots of little shops and traditional fish restaurants are in abundence. The beaches along the coast line on the way to this village are spectacular, with some of the finest views of the crystal clear coastline. There are lots of hillside cafes and restaurants you can relax in on the way. A little further along the coast you come to Cabo Espichel where a large church, monastery and lighthouse can be found. The views from this point are amazing.

The town of Palmela is only a ten minute drive away from the camping, you can drive uphill through the cobbled streets to the castle and ruins, you can visit the different buildings incuding the church, panoramic views of the estuary can be viewd here. You can also learn how to make your own glazed tile here, Lisbon, Setubal and the forests can be seen from the castle veiwpoints.

Pinhal Novo has 26,000 inhabitants, it is situated in the Setubal Peninsula halfway between Lisbon and Setubal. Connecting Lisbon to Pinhal Novo has become much easier with a highway, also a new train station has enabled residents to connect directly to Lisbon's subway network in 30 minutes. It is located near the Arrabida National Park and many other facilities, such as shopping centres including Forum Montijo and the Alcochete Freeport.

Pinhal Novo is experiencing continuous growth and has expanded from a little village to a planned 40000-inhabitants city. It benefits from new infrastructure, and urbanization plans do not allow large buildings to be built, this will contribute to a certain quality of life and to the property values of the area in the next few years.

There are ample shopping malls all within a 10 - 15 minute drive of the camping. There is a Freeport designer outlet centre at Alcochete and another large mall with clothes shops food hall and supermarket at Montigo. There is also a giant sunday market open on the second Sunday of every month, only 10 minutes walk away from the camping.

Sintra is another place to visit, further up the coast north of Lisbon, here you can travel by horse and carriage to visit the historical palace, castles and churches or you could take a tram down to the coast and go surfing on the Praia de Macas beach.
